Proderma project focuses on developing innovative solutions for faster and painless healing of skin wounds. This will be achieved by the use of polymeric patches doped with bioactive peptides and adipose derived stromal cells (ASCs) which at the same time will have high inherent antimicrobial properties so as not to require the addition of antimicrobial drugs or other additives. Within this project, the following partners will cooperate:
- Biohellenica Biotechnology Company (BHL), with years of experience in the stem cell field and research on cellular therapies and modern equipment on its premises,
- Nanotypos (NNT) nanoprint lithography research and development company, with extensive know-how in nanoproduction processes and innovative facilities; and
- The laboratory of Polymer Chemistry and Technology of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, headed by Professor Dr Bikiaris with the necessary experience and the appropriate laboratory equipment, for the development of new advanced polymeric materials, which were studied in the past few years in the laboratory, suitable for the healing of skin wounds.
