The project SEMTH is aiming to develop a Breastfeeding Monitoring System which will have the functionality to inform the mother about the baby milk feeding and furthermore after the feeding process to have the data about the accurate quantity of milk that the baby fed. The system is based on the fabrication of a Smart Breast Shield which will be equipped with a conductivity sensor measuring the milk flow, will read the milk flow and store the data. The consortium is collaborative scheme combining companies (Nanotypos, BEBEJOU, EMETRON, IASO) and the research centre NCSR Demokritos having strong experience through the years in the field. The research teams will be reinforced by the addition of new young researchers as well as with the extended collaborations with national hospitals.
